My first time on-air was in 2019 as a news intern at 4ZZZ community radio station in Brisbane, QLD. Following the internship, I completed announcer training at the station and then started jumping on to the science show Know Idea as a guest from time to time.
After a while, I ended up co-hosting the show on a regular basis. In January 2020, the long-term host moved interstate and I took over hosting and producing the show during which time it was upgraded from a one-hour to a two-hour timeslot. In March 2021, I moved to Sydney, NSW, and have still been co-hosting and co-producing the show remotely to this day.
During my time in front of a mic, I’ve broadcast hundreds of hours of radio, written and presented thousands of science stories, and conducted dozens of interviews with people from all over the scientific world.
